THE GIONEE M6: MARATHON IS NOT A MYTH
For the smartphone world, it is the best of times, as it is the time of bests. The Gionee M6 is a fresh evolution of the almighty Gionee .
For the smartphone world, it is the best of times, as it is the time of bests. The Gionee M6 is a fresh evolution of the almighty Gionee species that promises to raise the smartphone experience to newborn dimensions with a powerful battery.
SLIM BUT MIGHTY
The Gionee M6 can claim such a tag. With a dazing 5000 Milli Ampere battery that comes with a capacity density of 700wh/L, life never stops. And with such a powerful battery, the thickness is only 8.2mm. Present also is a 9V2A dual charging chip that allows for faster charging speed and better cooling effect. It can also serve as a power bank that will charge up to four other phones.
A SWIPE IN TIME SAVES NINE
The Gionee M6 also features a fingerprint scanner on the home button. Having the sensor at the front allows for much faster unlocking and safer use.
EVERYONE NEEDS SPACE
And the Gionee M6 can afford you plenty! Its internal memory is a whooping 64GB ROM which can store more of your files, music, games and movies. The M6 also has a 4GB RAM. So you see? No hang; no lag. You can open more apps at the same time.
EVERY FLASH TELLS A STORY
The Gionee M6 is itself a redefinition of what it means to take a snapshot. With an 8MP front and 13MP rear camera with Face Beauty and a Screen Flash that allows you take selfies in the dark, every act of photography for you becomes an experience; every flash tells a story; every memory meets no end.
GRASP THE FEELING
The Gionee M6 is not infallible; few things are. It can, however, withstand a fall – and that’s something very few things are capable of. With a 6000 series aluminum, the metal ratio of M6 is as high as 97%, stronger than before. After 58 complex processing, the sleek and durable metal comes with a diamond cut finish with premium look.
OTHER FEATURES
The Gionee M6 has also got an AMOLED glass; 5.5 inches FHD display; WCDMA/GSM; infrared remote control; screen record; split window; dual micro SIM; Android 6.0; 4G+; business card scanner and translator; smart power consumption; gyroscope; electronic compass; gravity sensor; light sensor; hall sensor; and proximity sensor. Its processor is MT6755.
The new Gionee M6 is a fortune to behold; but experience reads louder than words. So visit https://www.jumia.com.ng/gionee-m6/?source=NG_W48_STB2_1369_20161202#pre to pre order yours now!

iPhone 4 Reportedly Survives Even After Spending a Year at the Bottom of a lake
Guntrum's iPhone 4 had fell into the lake in March 2015
An engineer found it after the lake's water was drained
After drying it in rice, the phone switched back on easily
Apart from this year's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, all the previous generation iPhones were not officially water resistant. However, in an interesting turn of events, a 2010-released iPhone 4 reportedly managed to survive underwater for about a year and even turned on after being dried.
iPhone 4 owner Michael Guntrum went ice fishing in March 2015. His iPhone fell at the bottom of the Kyle Lake in Pennsylvania due to a minor slip up from his end. He told Buzzfeed, "We were having negative-25-degree weather, so me and two buddies went ice fishing. We were sitting in our portable shanty, and I got a bite on my rod. I laid the phone on my lap, and it slipped off. Instead of landing flat in the snow, it hit its edge and rolled into the hole. I caught the fish - it was a blue gill - but it wasn't worth it."
In September 2015, the Kyle Lake was drained due to structural deficiencies in the dam, and mechanical engineer Daniel Kalgren decided to take his metal detector and search for all things shiny in the empty lake. He chanced upon Guntrum's iPhone 4, and decided to wipe it and keep it in rice to see if it still works.
Surely, after two days, the phone sprang back to life, albeit with signs of visible damage. The display of the iPhone 4 had suffered a lot, but it was still in working condition and usable. Kalgren managed to get in touch with Guntrum to tell him that his phone had been recovered alive from the depths of the lake.
This bizarre survival was attributed to the tough case made by OtterBox used by Guntrum on his iPhone, and is reported to be largely responsible from preventing the water from causing much damage. "I'm an Apple person, and this adds to the reasons why I only buy Apple devices. It's pretty impressive it still works," Kalgren told the publication.
It's one thing to have a device underperform its advertised abilities, but to withstand water pressure (not to mention the icy temperature) at the bottom of the lake? Goodwill points to Apple and OtterBox for that.

Facebook rolls out new features for iPhone, iPad users
Facebook
is rolling out two new features for its users on Apple's iOS mobile
operating system. While the first feature automatically generates slideshows out of images and videos, the second is an addition to the company's Facebook Events feature that lets users access hand-picked Events, including the ones that are not on Facebook.
With the new Slideshow feature, Facebook now let users view images or video posted by someone more easily by automatically merging all of them into a slideshow that's easier to watch, reports the TechCrunch website. The feature is supposed to save time and effort spent on clicking each image inside an album to view them.
For Facebook to create an automated slideshow, users would need to upload five or more photos or videos in 24 hours. The slideshow can later be customised by adding more images, replacing them, or removing them. Users would also be able to choose the theme and slide transitions. There are 10 themes available at the moment including Nostalgic, Playful, Night Out, Birthday, Epic, Thankful, Tropical, Bollywood and Amped. For those unaware, Slideshow originally came as a part of the Facebook's Moment companion app launched in June 2015.
The particular Facebook Slideshow feature will be rolled out to iOS users across the world starting this week and is likely to expand to other platforms in future.
Facebook seems to be trying hard to engage users from outside its own website as well. The social media giant would now suggest users events picked from 10 major cities in the US.
According to a report in Techcrunch, Facebook iOS users in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C will see a 'Featured Events' section above the events tab. This feature should not be confused with the 'Suggested' events feature as the latter is based on your friend's interest and RSVPs. The new Featured Events are hand-picked by a separate team altogether.
"You can think about it like a weekend or weekly digest of cool stuff that you can do in your city," Faceboook Events product manager Aditya Koolwal told TechCrunch. Koolwal further added that users can also choose to recieve push notification for events.
The events curation team "will not include events primarily focused on politics or worship," said Koolwal. After the Facebook trending news controversy, the company is taking extra caution on how curators would select events.
Facebook might also sell sponsored spots in the 'Featured Events' section in future. Users will also be able to select specific event categories such as Music, Food, The Weekend and more.
